Re: New Zealand Test Series 2011
Looks as though NZ will fall short of 300 for the first innings.

Ponting out for 78
Test match on! Ricky Ponting out for 78, that will give him confidence in the twilight of his career we would like to see him get some serious scores.

Re: New Zealand Test Series 2011
The tourists fizzled with Australia needing to get 18 runs in the last innings, the highlight of which was Phil Hughes stupidly playing the same shot into the slips twice in a row. The first time the catch was dropped so he gave them a second try and they didn't drop it.

Re: New Zealand Test Series 2011
The second test starts today but I did want to address the following issue:
There's absolutely nothing wrong with those comments at all Mr. Taylor. I don't know if anybody made a stink about them but if they did it was their bad not yours. A lot of Australians are feeling the same way about Phil Hughes at the moment and only time will tell if he gets his shit together.New Zealand captain Ross Taylor says comments he made about wanting Australian opener Phil Hughes to play in the second Test were "tongue-in-cheek".
Taylor had declared he would "love" Hughes to be picked for Hobart after he was dismissed cheaply twice in the same fashion during the first Test in Brisbane.

Ryder wasn't out for NZ. There was a nick in hotspot yet the third umpire gave him out. The first umpire got it right.

New Zealand 6/83 at lunch without a Dan Vettori to prop them up, this match is over.

Spoke too soon. Showed the same faith in Australia that you could show 3 years ago.
