Ponting, Katich - Centurions
Ricky Ponting and Simon Katich both made century's and day 2 of the ashes saw only one wicket for the Aussies. Today went firmly to Australia. 1 wicket for 249 in reply to Englands - 435.

Bad weather to the rescue?

Post by Sparchi » Sun Jul 12, 2009 2:34 am

I think this test might be a draw due to bad weather not yeilding enough hours to do the job. :(

5th ball of 16th over day four - Nathan Hauritz lobs a short off spinner to left handed Andrew Strauss and is square cut to the boundary for four. Nathan Hauritz being the cricket genius he is lobs another one up on the final ball of the over and Strauss is suckered right into it. Strauss gets the thinnest of edges on the ball and is caught behind by Haddin.

The English bastmen are showing no respect for the freshish Aussie side and are paying the price. They do not realise how deep cricketing talent runs in the land that mastered the sport England invented. They are being humiliated at there own game.

Listen mate, lets wait till the next test at Lords when we are playing on a proper test wicket in front of a passionate ENGLISH crowd. This test is only being played in wales for the money offered by them to try and convince their populace there are more sports than Rugby Union. If this test had been played at Old Trafford it would have been a totally different story And i could have gone.

We will win this series, just wait and see.

If we don't i will jump butt naked off Sydney Harbour Bridge!!

When Peter Siddle was using Graeme Swann for target practice (hit him three times in one over) the England team physio came out (twice) to help ease the pain. I first thought the physio was a girl, man that guy needs breast reduction surgery cause dem some big boobies.

THE FIRST TEST ENDS IN A DRAW

Post by Major Wedgie » Mon Jul 13, 2009 2:00 pm

THE FIRST TEST ENDS IN A DRAW
Well the first test has ended in a draw after England sank incredibly low with their time wasting efforts. England failed to make a century in two innings of batting (19 wickets) and also just barely reached Australia's one innings total of 674 (made with a mere 6 wickets).

English fans must be proud of their team which must resort to time wasting tactics to get a draw. Australia arrived to play by the rules and the spirit of the game, and it was a shame to see an already humiliated opposition sink so low for the sake of a draw.

Heres an unbiased view and an accurrate view. Read this thread and you guys might realise what actually happened in the first test rather than what you think happened.
