The Australian Team
The Australian Team
Whilst we are currently on a high, let us not for a moment forget this is not an outstanding Australian side, IMO of the present team, going back to what I call a GREAT side,(around 2000 to 2003) only Clarke would make the side....Hadden is good but--there was Gilchrist in that period,(enough said). Johnson has not done anywhere near enough yet to be classesd as great, because when he has a bad day it certainly is BAD,McGrath never had a bad day....Rogers,Smith,and Lyon are absolute novices and would not have made the slightest mark on the team of the early 2000s,Warner is nowhere near reliable enough to be classed as great, unfortunately at present he seems to be the best opener we have,Hughes????forget him, tempermentally rock bottom, same as Kawahj(spelling?)

What happened with Katich and Clarke? They have a personality conflict.

Katich never had a rock solid place in the Aussie side.Major Wedgie wrote:What happened with Katich and Clarke? They have a personality conflict.
